When servicing a 1974 BMW 3.0 CSI that a customer asked us to look at because it was misfiring and not running right, our technicians located water in cylinder bore 2 and 3.
Cylinder 2 had very bad corrosion in the engine block due to a leaking head gaskets allowing water to flow through that cylinder.
To resolve this problem the engine block was removed to allow sleeving and rebuilding to take place.
